It appears that Hot Shots Billiards has resurfaced and is attempting to reapply for a new liquor license under the operating name of Maria's Neighborhood Bar and Grill.
We need you all to join us in the petition and cause to help revitalize our neighborhood by denying the liquor license.
We live in our neighborhood and have to deal with the problems this bar has historically brought into our homes.
The Avalon Neighborhoods position is to protest against granting a new liquor license to Marie's Bar and Grill. We will be going door to door on Saturday Novembr 10th with a petition for everyone to sign.
Please be available and willing to help protect our neighborhood by signing the petition. If we miss you on Saturday the petition will be available for signing at he next neighborhood meetings on Thursday 15th November, 2007.
As a brief history on the situation, Hot Shots Billiards was sold to Imfamous LLC, which was owned by Elias Chapas, in early 2007. The liquor license for Chaspas was denied because of his criminal background which included manslaughter.
A barmaid for Chapas was Maria Jaime who is now applying for a new liquor license under the buisiness name of Marie's Neighborhood Bar and Grill.
We are concerned that Maria is merely a front for Chapas who was denied the previos liquor license.
